Portraits, unlike headshots which are predominately for the business world, are purely personal. They are crafted to reflect who we are as a person, an individual, a mother or father, daughter or son, wife or husband. When we are captured in a portrait it is our essence that comes through … our character, our presence, our feelings, our dreams, our passions as well as our successes and failures … it is us on an intimate level. Portraits stand as a testimony to the lives we live and are meant to celebrate life.

Portraits are also the legacy we leave behind for those to remember us by long after we are gone. They are a memorial to the person we were and the lives we touched. Think about how you cherish those wonderful images of loved ones passed.

Portraits are for printing. Whether it is a large hanging piece of wall art for your home or office, album size prints or smaller keepsake mementos it is simply a must. Until your portrait is printed its just a digital file with no personal attachment or emotion. Once printed it takes on a life of it’s own and becomes something cherished and loved.

I’ve been a professional portrait photographer in Las Vegas and several other major cities for over 30 years. It’s my personal and professional passion as well as a privilege to be able to capture the essence and personality of my clients. While I enjoy shooting many different styles in studio and on location, my work tends to lean towards edgy, dramatic and cinematic images that are not only creative, eye catching and expressive but also truly convey who a person is on the inside as much as how they look on the outside.
